Lacombe Ford is proud to donate it's newest 2009 Ford Escape to our local RCMP in support of their D.A.R.E program.
On july 17, Lacombe Ford presented the lacombe police department with a new vehicle for the local D.A.R.E. Program. This continues ten years of support for the program by supplying a fully operational police vehicle. The D.A.R.E. Program takes the vehicle and local police officers to local schools and educates local students about drug awareness. But this year brings a couple new things to the program. For the first time the police department will help provide awareness to the school children with the assistance of a police dog, trained especially for the D.A.R.E. Program & this also marks the first time the police department will be using a hybrid vehicle. The 2009 ford escape hybrid provides the police with the vehicle they need, while drastically reducing operating fuel costs and maintaining environmentally friendly practices.
